The incumbents charge per return.
€0.99 per RMA on the starter tier. You're literally paying more when your customers need more help. Misaligned from minute one.
Now accepting 10 design partners
A shipped, Shopify-ready returns platform for DACH fashion. Store credit is free at every tier. The portal carries your brand, never ours. And your reason codes benchmark against a shared taxonomy no incumbent ships.
Why now
€0.99 per RMA on the starter tier. You're literally paying more when your customers need more help. Misaligned from minute one.
Hiding the refund CTA to boost "retention" erodes shopper trust. Your NPS pays the bill and you never see the line item.
8returns charges 2.5% on every euro of credit issued — forever. A tax on the retention strategy you built. On Returno, store credit is included in every tier.
Your shopper opens the Retourenportal and sees the vendor logo, not yours. Returno runs with zero Returno branding on every tier — your tokens, your typography, your domain.
Three things that change the math
A FIFO-by-expiry ledger with VAT awareness, tenant-scoped idempotency, and bonus issuance built in. 8returns meters the same feature at 2.5% of credit issued. We do not.
Live preview iframe (postMessage, sub-200ms paint), brand-kit JSON export, and custom domains on Caddy with on-demand TLS. Publish-and-pray is not a design system.
15 seeded reason codes in every tenant, shared taxonomy, 20-tenant cohort minimum per bucket. Your FIT_TOO_SMALL rate against DACH fashion p50, live in the analytics panel.
The shopper sees this
Zero Returno branding on every tier. Portal built on Remix with per-item lifecycle, wallet passes, drop-off locator, live refund tail, and a 3-emoji sentiment capture on completion.
Pick the items. You'll choose how to resolve them next.
FIFO ledger, tracked per tenant, one year to spend.
Keep the item. Code good on your next order.

What is actually shipped
15 seeded reason codes across every tenant with a shared taxonomy. Cohorts lock at 20 tenants minimum per bucket — your FIT_TOO_SMALL rate against DACH fashion p50, live.
Declarative JSON DSL with a 21-fact registry, simple + advanced editors, named rule matches surfaced on every RMA and versioned ruleset history.
iframe + postMessage with sub-200ms paint next to the tokens editor. Export the full brand-kit as JSON and reimport anywhere.
Per-item lifecycle, Apple/Google Wallet passes, drop-off locator, refund tail, 3-emoji sentiment capture, cross-sell strip, and a live status page after submit.
Scoped API keys with per-key audit and a signed webhook log viewer. Ship integrations day one, see every delivery attempt.
Four strategies — volume spike, refund spike, reason drift, new-SKU surge — feeding an annotated inbox. Subscribe any teammate to 15 alert kinds via email.
Draft → submitted → approved → denied → label_issued → in_transit → received → graded → resolved → cancelled → disputed. Assignable, with threaded ops comments and a matched-rule sidebar.
Five roles — owner, admin, ops, finance, viewer — with invite flow, 48-character tokens, role changes, and revocation. Every action hits an append-only audit log.
SKU-level overrides and allow/block lists by email/order/tag. Return-reason editor with reorder, per-locale translations, and fraud weight. Methods catalog across carrier drop-off, pickup, in-store, and printerless QR.
16-entry catalog. Shopify is the MVP connector today — Shopware, WooCommerce, BigCommerce are placeholder entries. Five carriers, three PSPs, helpdesks, and Segment round it out.
FIFO-by-expiry, VAT-aware, keyed by tenant for idempotency. Balances, transactions, bonus issuance, manual issue and revoke — included on every tier.
ICU MessageFormat with en + de at launch, BCP 47 locale tags, Postgres RLS on every tenant-scoped table, Caddy with on-demand TLS for merchant custom domains, materialized analytics views with SECURITY DEFINER per ADR-0009.

Design partners
We're taking 10 brands into the Q2 2026 beta — prioritizing DACH and Nordic fashion. Founding partners lock in reduced pricing for life and sit in monthly roadmap calls.
Questions
Because per-return fees punish you for helping your customers. When you charge per ticket, you're incentivized to not offer exchanges, not automate, not prevent returns. We win on a percentage of returned GMV, which only grows if your business grows. Store credit in particular is free on every tier — we do not meter retention.
We're onboarding 10 design-partner merchants in Q2 2026. Shopify-first, DACH and Nordic fashion prioritized. Shopware, WooCommerce and BigCommerce connectors sit on the public roadmap — the catalog already lists them as placeholder entries so you can see exactly where we are.
Three concrete things shipped today: (1) store credit is free on every tier where 8returns charges 2.5% of credit issued, (2) the portal carries zero Returno logos at every tier, (3) 15 seeded reason codes power cross-tenant percentile benchmarks no incumbent ships. Other differentiators — duty reclaim, a cross-order fraud graph, keep-it-refund, B2B — are on our public roadmap and not yet built.
UPS, DHL, and USPS are the MVP carriers. Hermes, DPD, FedEx, Royal Mail, GLS, and the Sendcloud/Shippo aggregators are on the roadmap. The return-methods catalog already models carrier drop-off, pickup, in-store, and printerless QR as first-class method types so adding a new carrier is a connector, not a schema change.
At launch, all tenants are pinned to eu-central-1 — EU-only, no cross-region PII replication. Additional regions (us-east-1, ap-southeast-2) are architectural placeholders, not provisioned. SOC 2 Type II is targeted for Q1 2027. GDPR DSAR and erasure endpoints are first-class today.
Yes — we ship a Shopify connector at launch (install controller, HMAC-verified webhooks, orders/shops repositories, token-bucket rate limiting). We're a platform, not a Shopify app: your RMA data lives with us, not in a Shopify extension. Shopware, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and custom headless via API are on the roadmap.
